Sharon Maness

Director of Special Education

Sharon Cheri Maness is a graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School Augusta Georgia, she received a bachelors of science degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark College Atlanta Georgia and a masters in administration from Jacksonville State University. Sharon has over 35 years of experience in education and began her career as a teacher in the Richmond County School System in Augusta Georgia. Sharon also worked in Marietta  City School System Marietta Georgia, Holy family Catholic school and Saint Theresa Catholic school in Jackson Mississippi. The City of Jackson early childhood  Jackson Mississippi. Mrs Maness has been with the Gadsden City School System for over 20 years as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and at the present time the Director of Special Education an Elementary Education. Mrs Maness oversees Special Education Elementary Education and Enrichment programs in Gadsden City Schools
Sharon serves on the board of CED Mental Health, Family Success Center and the Boys and Girls Club she is member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
