At the end of January, Region Committees selected their region winners and submitted the information to the Bryant-Jordan office.

Anna Klaire Ashley of Gadsden City High School was chosen as the Class 6A, Area 13 Winner!!!

“AK”, is a very busy young lady with school, athletics, club & organizations etc.  She is an exemplary student athlete.

Gadsden City High School is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Anna Klaire Ashley, who has been honored by winning the prestigious Bryant Jordan Scholar Athlete Class 6A Region 13 Award. This accolade is a testament to Anna Klaire’s unwavering dedication to both academic excellence and athletic prowess.

AK earned an ACT score of 30 and maintained a GPA of 4.2 on an Advanced Academic Diploma with Honors while playing multiple sports and being actively involved in her school and community. She has played soccer since she was 4 years old, all of her hard work and dedication earned her a spot as a member of the AHSAA North Team All-Star roster and a spot on the BUSA ECRL team which will compete for the National Title this June in Texas. Along with being Captain of the GCHS Varsity girls soccer team, she was a starter for both Varsity Flag Football (1 year) and Varsity Volleyball (3 years)

But AK’s impact extends far beyond the playing field. As a member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, Titan Helpers, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Key Club, she helped create the Titan Pantry, ring bells for Salvation Army, volunteered at our community Half Marathon, helped with our Community Thanksgiving Half Marathon, and so much more. She did all these things while also working and volunteering her time as a lifeguard, tutor, and youth sports helper. She has dedicated herself to serving their community and inspiring others to reach their full potential. Her selflessness and commitment to helping others embody the true spirit of sportsmanship and leadership.

As Anna Klaire continues to excel in both academics and athletics, her future is undoubtedly bright. Her achievements serve as an inspiration to her peers and a source of pride for the entire Gadsden City High School community. Congratulations AK!  We wish you all the best in the next steps moving forward in the competition!!

In February, Regional winners will be given the opportunity to attend a banquet and additional scholarship opportunities.

In March, the State Selection Committee will meet to select Class and Overall Winners.
